(2) of seq~.~og 26-4.1 so that the same mnount <br />would be continued after his death to such first <br />listed person and in such event tile member's accu- <br />mulated contributions shall be transferred from <br />the members' contribution account to the retire- <br />ment allowance account ns provide~ in section <br />26-28 (f); provided, that if no suca listed person <br />survives the member, or if the first listed person <br />is the member's designated beneficiary and so <br />elects, the amount of the member's accumulated <br />contributions, reduced by the ~nount of any re- <br />tirement allowance previously received by him <br />under any of the provisions of this article shall <br />then bo payable in a lump sum in accordance with <br />section 26-42, in lieu of any benefits under this <br />subsection; provided further that if ~he amount <br />of the member's accmmutated contributions prior <br />to such reduction is less than ~en dollars, no <br />benefit shall be payable hereunder and the member's <br />accumulated contributions shall be transferred from <br />the members' contribution account to the retirement <br />allowance accoun~ as provided in section 26-28 (f). <br /> <br /> (c) Should a member, who had one or more <br /> years of creditable service, die after ter~ination <br /> of service, bus before his normal retir~nent date; <br /> provided that tl~e memoer has been continuously <br /> disabled from ~e date of termination of service <br /> to date of death, and such disability has oeen <br /> such as would qualify the member for disability <br /> r~tirement in accordance with either section 26-33 <br /> or section 26-35, %~ithout regard to any creditable <br /> service reGuirements or actual retirement there- <br /> under; and 'provided further, that written notifica- <br /> tion of SUCh disability is given ~o the board by <br />· the mer~lber, his appointing authority or such person <br /> or persons entitled to such death benefits, mn <br /> accordance with section 26-42, not later than one <br /> year after such termination of service, an addi- <br /> tional benefit equal to one thousand dollars shall <br /> be payable in a lump s~n in accordance with <br /> section 26-42. <br /> <br />-3- <br /> <br /> <br />
