Section 5-30 of the Code of the City of <br />Portmmouth, Virginia, 1961, be ~.~ended a~J re- <br />ordained to read as follows: <br /> <br />Sec. 5-30. Rates of fare. <br /> <br /> 7ne rate of cash fare to be put in forqe <br />under this article shall be vwen~y-five cents for <br />regular .passengers and twelve and one-half cents <br />for school children. <br /> <br /> In the exercise of its reserved power of <br />regulations, the city council reserves the ri~h~ <br />to fix fares ~o be cnar~ged on the bus sys~en <br />herein provided for, and will at all times <br />prescribe rates of fare which will permit ~a <br />reasonable return as herein define~ on the in- <br />vestment in the bus service in the city. <br /> <br /> 2.
