Section 10. <br /> <br />Complement. <br /> <br /> (a) The authorized complement of the Fire Department shall be one <br />Chief, six Assistant Chiefs, twenty-seven Captains, twenty-seven Engineers, and <br />one hundred twenty-nine Hosemen. <br /> <br /> (b) The authorized complement of the Police Department shall be one <br />Chief, one Deputy Chief, ten Captains, twelve Lieutenants, twenty-One Sergeants, <br />and one hundred forty-four Patrolmen-Detectives. <br /> <br /> An emergency exists, and this ordinance shall take effect from and <br />after its passage. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a <br />meeting held June 28, 1966, <br /> <br />Tbste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
