~N ORDINANCE TO CLOSE A PORTION OF CERTAIN <br />BTREETS AND rALLEYS IN ChLIRCt~MD <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Sanford L. Lefcoe, Jules J. Siegel and Arthur Siegel <br />have made application to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter <br />described portions of certain streets and alleys located in the Church- <br />land area; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by resolution of this Council, adopted ~i~y 14, 1968, <br />viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-364 of the Code of <br />Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereio~fter described portions <br />of certain streets and alleys located in the Churchland area and to <br />report in writing whether in their opinion, any, and if any, what <br />inconverkience would result from discontinuing the hereinafter described <br />streets and alleys; and <br /> <br /> ~gqEREAS, the said viewers have reported in writing that in <br />their opinion no inconvenience would result from closing and discontinuing <br />said streets and alleys. <br /> <br /> NOW, THER2~ORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, that: <br /> <br /> (t) The platted, but unopened alleyway located in Block 33 of <br />the Plat of Churchland Land Company, which alley separated the ~3nplatted <br />land as shown in Block 33 ~from lots 10 through 17, inclusive. <br /> <br /> (2) The platted, but unopened portion of B Street as shown on <br />the Plat of Ch~archtand Land Company which lies between lots l0 through 17, <br />inclusive, Block 3~ of the Churchland Land Company and lots 18 through 26, <br />inclusive, Block 32 of the Church~ud Land Company. <br /> <br /> (3) The platted, but unopened alleyway located in Block 32 <br />of the Plat of Churchland Land Company, and which separates lots 18 <br />through 26, inclusive, from lots 10 through 17, inclusive, in Block 32 <br />of the Churchland Land Company. <br /> <br />be; and the same are ~reby closed and vacated as public streets and alleys, <br />reserving unto the City of Portsmouth, however, the perpetual easement, <br />right, and pri~ilege to install, maintain, operate and replace utility <br />lines within the area of the portion of B Street described above. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at <br />a meeting held June 28, 1968. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk~ <br /> <br /> <br />
