(c) Every person emerged in the business of lending money <br />under the provisions of the State Unifom ~11 Loan Act shall pay <br />a license Tax of $500.00 and one (1) per centare of gross receipts <br />of such business during the preceding calendar year in excess of <br />$175,000.00, excluding repayments of principal. <br /> <br /> (d) Every person other than banks mud bankers or ~uho is <br />licerzed under the Virgir~ia SPell Loan Law, engaged in the business <br />of tendimg money to others for the put-chase of motor vehicles, re- <br />frigerators, radios, oil or gas burners ~ electrical appliances, <br />household furnitur, e or equipment , .'or tony otheD goods or cn~ht~ls, <br />whether new or used, secured by a llen on such goods or chattels <br />or paying the purchase price of any goods or c?~ttels for the buy- <br />er and securirg the s~m. so paid by a lien on the same, or by the <br />purchase fram a dealer of conditio_~t sales contracts or chattel <br />mortgages, and the no~es or other obligations, if any, secured there- <br />by, or in any other manner or by ar~ other method finan~oing Ln whole <br />or in part, the purchase of such goods or chattels by or for others; <br />and every person, other thmna person licensed render the Virginia <br />Small Loan Law, engaEed in the business of lending money to others <br />secured by lien on such goods or chattels, whether for the purchase <br />thereof or not, shall pay a license tax of $500.00 per a~num. <br /> <br /> No license granted ~under t~s section shall be trar~ferable <br />or preferable. <br /> <br />Section 72. Lodging Houses - BoardingHouses. <br /> <br /> Boarding houses, or lodging houses~ each, where t~e total num- <br />ber of beds, cots, berths, bur~s or other sieepir~ accc~modation avail- <br />able for boarders or lodgers is over five ar~ not over ten, $25.00; <br />where the total number of sueb accmnmodatiors is over ten mad urJer <br />t~-ar~y: $65.00; where the total n~mber of accomodations is over twenty <br />~nd not over forty, ~100.00; over forty, $180.00. <br /> <br />Section 73. ~ufacturer's Sales Agenvs: <br /> <br /> On every person acting or doing business as a ~ufacturer's <br />~ales agent there shall be a licer~e tax of $75.00. Not prorated. <br /> <br />Section 74. M~rina. <br /> <br /> Eve~ person engaged ~ the business of keeping or operating <br />a ~ri~ shall pay a license tax of $50.00 for the f~rst $5,000.00 <br />and $0.30 for each additional ~100.00 of gross receipts, as herein- <br />above defLned and including t?~ gross receipts from the sales of <br />gasoline, meter oils, engines, engine pa~ts, boats~ other merchandise, <br />repairs and equipmer~t, ~nd fram the bert~f~ug of boats~ in such busi- <br />ness for the pre~ous calendar year. <br /> <br /> <br />
