The intent of this provision is to grant the same reciprocal <br />privileges to licensed persons in adjoiniD~ ci~ies engaged in such <br />business~ provided such cities grant the same reciprocal privileges <br />to such persons licensed by the City of Porvsmouth. <br /> <br />Section 61. Clear~_ng, Pressing, Dyeingand Laundry - <br /> Soliciting: <br /> <br /> Each person (other them a laundry, dry cleaning or diaper <br />supply service establishment located in the City of Portsmouth and <br />paying a license tax for the conduct of such business in the City <br />of Portsmouth) er~aging in soliciting general laundry or dry clean- <br />ing work or diaper supply service, where said person does the laundry, <br />dry cle~nf~ng or diaper service work outside of the City, or has it <br />done outside of the City, shall pay a license tax of $800.00 per <br />ar~num, and, in addition thereto~ a license tax of $60.00 per armum <br />for each tr~ck used in soliciting business within the City. Not <br />prorated. <br /> <br /> Notwithstandirg the foregoing provisions, a license tax of <br />$60.00 per annt~m for each vruck used in solicit~n~ business within <br />the City of Portsmouth shall be ~_~posed under tb~is section upon smj <br />person operating such business in an adjoiming city, and having his <br />plant in such adjoining city, ,~.ere such city ~mposes a similar license <br />tax ~pon s_ny person operating his bus,_ness in ar~ paying a license tax <br />to the City of Po~smouth and having his plant in Portsmouth, and en- <br />gaged in such business in both cities. Coin ~chines and Coin Machine Operators. <br /> <br /> (a) Every person havi~ or exhibiting anti,here in the City of <br />Portsmouth a coin ~m~chine or device of s_ny description into which are <br />~nserted coins of any denomination that operaves on the co,n-in-the- <br />slot principle slnall pay a license tax for each such machine or device, <br />in the follow~ng respective amounts per s~mmum. <br /> <br />(t) For each such machine which plays music on!y, $10.00. <br /> <br />(2) For ~ ~ ' · <br /> each such mac~h~ne regmster~ the weiLht of a person, <br /> $5.OO. <br /> <br />(3) For each such macLine used for the cleaning and polishing <br /> of bowlir~ balls, $5.00. <br /> <br />(4) ~ <br /> ~or each suc~ ~achine used for tb~ ¢le~ming and polis'~nir~ <br /> of shoes, ~10.00. <br /> <br />-22- <br /> <br /> <br />
