Nothing contained ~n this gas code sk~.ll require a~ change the pls~ns~ construction~ alteration, irmtsllation or repair of building or appliance for which a permit had. been granted or. for ~aich pls_ns, were on file with the Department of Building Inspection prior to J~anu~.~ 1~ 1970, and the eonstr~ction~ alteration~ installation or repair of W~ich 6uilding or appliance from such plans shall have been sta_r~oed' within ninety days fr,~ said Js~nuary 1, 1970; prox~ided~ however, vhat if the construction~ alters£ion, ~nstallation or repair of ~ny such building or appliance shall be discontinued for a period of ninety days after this code takes effect, any f~u~ther construction, alteration, installsfoion or repair of such b~ilding or appli~ce shall be in conformity with the pro- visions of t~his gas code.
