Section 34-45. ~pplicationTherefor. <br /> <br /> The application for a taxicab driver's permit as required <br />in sectzon 34-44 shall be zu~ing, sworn to and presented to the <br />city manager or his duly autMorized agent, and shall state the full <br />name, residence, places of residence previous to moving to bis present <br />address, age, height, color', color of eyes and b~1r, sex, place of <br />birth, places of previous employment of applicant, whethe~ he ms married <br />'or single, length of time he has resided in the city., whether or not he <br />is a citizen of the United States, whether or not he has been previously <br />en~ployed or licensed as a driver or chauffeur, and if so, whether his <br />driver's license or perr~Xt has ever been suspended, revoked, or refused <br />Ln this .or any other state, whether or not he is addicted to the use <br />of intoxicating liquors or drugs, ar~ such other information as may be <br />required by the city manager. ~2he application shall be endorsed by two <br />citizens of the city who personally know him. Any false statement made <br />in any affidavit shall be promptly reported by the city m~nager to the <br />con~nonwealth's attorney. <br /> <br />Section 34-48. Issuance and Fee; Refusal. <br /> <br /> If the city manager is satisfied that the ~oplicant is of <br />the age of twenty-one years or more, in good health aud with good eye- <br />sight, not having any physical or mental infirmity, not addicted to the <br />use of intoxicating liquors or drugs, morally fit and having knowledge <br />of the traffic laws of the state and city, the city mar~_garmay, ~oon <br />the payment of a fee of ten dollars, iss~ to applicant a taxicab driver's <br />permit. If the city manager is not satisfied as to the qualifications <br />and fitness of the applicant to operate a taxicab, he shall refuse to <br />issue such per~it. Without regard to the grounds for revocation set <br />forth insection 34-54, the city manager, at his discretion,may revoke <br />any such permit within thirty days from the date of its issuance. <br /> <br />SectioQ 34-52. Renewal and Renewal Fee. <br /> <br /> Taxicab driver's permits issued under this article may be <br />renewed by the city manager by appropriate endorsement thereon up.on the <br />payment of a fee of ten dollars; provided, however~ that the' applicanb <br />for such renewal shall, at the tLme thereof, be qualified udder the pro- <br />visions of this article to have issued to him an original taxicab driver's <br />permit. <br /> <br />Section 34-56. Return of Pern~t and Badge Upon Revopation. <br /> <br /> After revocation of a t~xicab driver's permit issued under <br />this article, and notice of such revocation, such permit issued to the- <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br /> <br />
