AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 29.1-203 OF T~HE CODE OF THE CITY <br />OF POR~&MOUTH, VIRGINIA, 1961, LNCREASING CERTAIN CHARGES FOR <br />SEWAGE DISPOSAL SERVICE. <br /> <br /> Be it ordained by the Council of the City of ?orts- <br />mouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That Section 29.1-203 of the Code of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia,.1961, be amended and reordained <br />to read asfollows.. <br /> <br />Section 29.1-203. Charges for Sewage Disposal Service- <br /> Rate Schedule. <br /> <br /> Any person contracting with the City for sewage disposal, <br />or the owner, lessee or tenant, or some or all of them, who uses <br />or occupies any real estate which directly or indirectly is or <br />has been connected with the sewage disposal system of the city. <br />or from or on which originates or has originated sewage or indus- <br />trial wastes, or other wastes, which directly or indirectly enters <br />or will enter the sewage disposal system shall pay to the city <br />for the use and services of such system the fees, rents and charges <br />according to the following schedule of rates. <br /> <br /> Charges for sewage disposal seraricewill be based upon <br />the ~mter cons~ned on the premises as measured by meters, used for <br />this purpose, as follows: <br /> <br /> (1) For the firstfifteen thousand cubic feet used in <br />any one month, twenty cents Der hundred cubic feet. <br /> <br /> (2) For any next quantity in excess of fifteen thousand <br />cubic feet but not over one million cubic feet used in any one <br />month, thirteen cents per hundred cubic feet. <br /> <br /> (3) For any next quantity in excess of one mullion cubic <br />feet used in any one month, eleven cents per hundred cubic feet. <br /> <br /> <br />
