AN OEDINANCE TO k~D THE ZONING OEDh~CE OF <br />THE Cil~ OF PORTS40UTH, 1961, BY A~NDING SEC- <br />TIONS 4-3 and 4-4 TF~EOF, PE~'±TL~G KE~D~-q <br />AS ALLOWABLE USES IN THE ~DUST~IAL-~&-i AND <br />M-2 DISTRICTS. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAIAW~D by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> That the Zoning Ordinan.ce of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, <br />1961, be amended by amendLug Sectzons 4-3 and 4-4 thereof, such amended <br />sections to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 4-3. industrial M-1 District Uses. <br /> <br /> (a) Within the Industrial M~I District the following uses are <br />allowed :. <br /> <br />Accessory uses s~nd structures incidental to any permitted resi- <br />dential use, such as servant's quarters, garages, greenhouses <br />or workshops, provided that none shalI be rented or occupied <br />for gain, that no accessory building sb~ll be inhabited by <br />other than e~loyees of the owner, lessee, or tenant of the <br />premises; provided that no accessory buildir~ to be used for <br />liv~ug quarters shall be constructed upon a plot t~ntil the <br />construction of the principall building has been commenced. <br /> <br />Accessory uses clearly Lncidental to a permitted use and which <br />will not create a nuisance or hazard. <br /> <br />Amusement enterprises sLrdlar to billiards, pool, bowling, shoot- <br />ing gallery, roller rirk, dance hall, but not including theater. <br /> <br />Appliance distributors for wholesale. <br /> <br />Assembly halls, coliseums, g~uasiums, stadium~ and similar <br />structures. <br /> <br />;ssembly cf ~chines s.~ applis_uces frcm previously pz~epared parts. <br /> <br />D~tcmobi!e (new and used) snd accessory sales. <br /> <br />Dutomcbiie commercial par!~ng enterprise. -- <br /> <br /> <br />
