Sec. 10-130. S~me - Orgs~nization; <br /> <br /> The members of the Portsmouth Tax Study Con,mission sb~ll, <br />immediately after their election, meet and organize. They s~ball <br />elecv a ohairm~n, a vice-cha~ and such other officers thereof, <br />if any, as they may deem necessary. A majority of the members of <br />the board sh~] ] constitute a quorum for the trs_nsaction of business. <br />The conm~ission my adopt suitable rules and regulations for the <br />conduct of its business. <br /> <br />Sec. 10-131, Same - D~ties. <br /> <br /> It shall be the duty of the co~mission to study the <br />financial .condition of the city, possible sources of revenue, the <br />taxes levied by the city and the methods of collecting revenue, <br />and to make recomendations ~th respect to tax policy to be fol- <br />lowed so as to provide an equitable distribution of the tax burden. <br />The conm~ission shall report its recon~aendations in ~a~iting to the <br />council. <br /> <br />2.
