AN ORDINP2~CE TO AMEND THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF <br />THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, 196!, BY A~NDING SECTION <br />5-7 THEREOF, PROVIDING DIMENSIONAL REQUIREmeNTS <br />FOR CONSTRUCTION IN THE RESIDENTIAL 0R-75 DZSTRICT <br />OF SINGLE FAMILY AND TWO FAMILY DWELLINGS. <br /> <br /> Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virglnma, that the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Portsmouth, <br />'1961, be amended by ~anending Section 5-7 thereof, such amended <br /> section to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 5-7. Residential R-75~ Residential R-75-S and Office <br /> Residential 0R-75 District Dimensional Require~ <br /> ments. .~ <br /> <br /> Within the Residential R-75, Residential R-75-S and <br />Office Residential 0R-75 Districts as shown on the Zoning Map, <br />all the following dimensional requirements shall be complied with: <br /> <br /> -(a) Minimum required plot area in the Residential R-75~--- <br />and Office ..esmdentmal 0R-75 Districts and for the first dwelling <br />unit in the Residential R-75 or Office Residential 0R-75 Districts <br />other than for row houses ......................... 7,500 square feet. <br /> <br /> (b) Minimum additional plot area per dwelling unit for <br />each unit in excess of one in the Residential R-75 or Office Resi- <br />dential 0R-75 Districts ......................... 3,000 square feet. <br /> <br /> (c) Minimum required plot area for row houses only in <br />the Residential R-75 District .......... 2500 square feet; except <br />that .as an alternate method of development, a subdivision of row <br />houses may be approved without a minimum plot size requirement, <br />provided that the maximum number of plots~oer gross acre sna_l' ~ not <br />exceed 12 plots per gross acre and all other dimensional require- <br />ments set forth by this section which are applicable to row houses <br />are followed. "Gross acre'~ shall not include any public street <br />right of way properly dedicated a~nd accepted for maintenance by <br />the City. <br /> <br /> (d) Minimum required plot width for the Residential <br />R-75-S District and for the first dwelling mnit other than a row <br />house in the Residential R-75 or Office Residential 0R-75 Districts <br />.......... 50 feet. <br /> <br /> (e) Minimum required plot ~-' =~ <br /> .~ldo~s for row houses <br />the.
