· ORDIHANCE HO, <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND SEOTION 2 OF THE GAS CODE OF THE CITY 0F <br />PORTSMOUTH, 1970, BY ADOPTING THE 1970 REVISION TO THE SOUTHERN <br />STANDARD GAS CODE, 1969 EDITION. <br /> <br /> Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1.' ·That Section 2 of the Gas Code of the City of Ports- <br />mouth, 1970, be amended and reordained to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 2. Purpose and Scope. <br /> <br /> ' ' i <br /> The purpose of this ordinance is to provide m~n mum stan- <br />dards, provisions and requirements for~skfe installation of consum- <br />er's gas piping and gas appliances. All such gas piping and gas <br />appliances installed, replaced, maintained, or repaired shall con- <br />form to the requirements of this ordinance and to the specifications, <br />rules, and regulations set forth in the Southern Standard Gas Code <br />1969, including the 1970 revision, which specifications, rules, and <br />regulations are ~ereby incorporat~d herein by reference a~d made a <br />part of this ordznance as if fully, set forth herein.
