Section lB. Reinstated employees. <br /> <br /> Any person who is reinstated within one year after he has <br />left the employment of the City shall receivecompensation according <br />to the grade ~nd step in whichhe is placed by the City Manager, not <br />to exceed, however, the rate of pay he ~ould receive had he not left <br />the employment of the City. <br /> <br />Section 14. Part time employees. <br /> <br /> Any person ~mployed on a part time basis shall receive <br />compensation as prescribed by the City ~Manager. <br /> <br />Section 15. O~ertime. <br /> <br /> (a) Any employee whose rate of pay is fixed on a nont~ly <br />basis shall not receive any compensation.for extra or 'overtime work <br />unless such has been approved in ad/Vance b.Y t~he department head and <br />the city manager. Any compensation authorized for extra or 'overtime <br />work shall be entered on the next succeeding payroll. - <br /> ! <br /> _ <br /> in cases of emergency, employee ,hostrate <br />of pay is fixed orJan hourly basis shall not receive any compensation <br />for extra or overtime work unless such has ~been approved ~n advance <br />by the department head and the city manager. All such employees per- <br />~prmmng emergency work at ct. her t~ the normally ,scheduled work per- <br />,lcd shal] be paid for a minimum of two hours at the overtime rate, <br />which shall be one ~nd one-half tL~s the straight ~ourly rate; pro- <br />vided, however, that all such .e~.loyees performirg emergency work on <br />holidays shall be paid for a mi~ of ~-WO hours at a ~ate which shall <br />be two and one-b~lf times the straight houriy rave. <br /> <br /> (c) A~e~loyee whose rate of pay is fixed on an hourly <br />basis who is required to york on a holiday shall be paid for the <br />straight hoursworked, plus the normal ~pay for One day's work or one <br />compensatory day off. <br /> <br />Section 16. Salary adjustments. <br /> <br /> (a) Salary adjustments to hi~ne~ steps ~athln a pay grade <br />for persons classified under Section 3 shall becmme effective upon <br />the first day of July of each year~. <br /> <br /> (b) Sata~y adjustments to hi~her steps within a pay grade <br />for persons classified under Section 4 sha~- become effective on the <br />first day Of July for each year, but for the purposes of this ordi- <br />r~nce only, se~ice by such employees for a fractional part of a year <br />coD~isting of six months or more shall be~treated as a ~ole year. <br /> <br />Section 17.
