Section lB. Reinstated employees. Any person who is reinstated within one year after he has left the employment of the City shall receivecompensation according to the grade ~nd step in whichhe is placed by the City Manager, not to exceed, however, the rate of pay he ~ould receive had he not left the employment of the City. Section 14. Part time employees. Any person ~mployed on a part time basis shall receive compensation as prescribed by the City ~Manager. Section 15. O~ertime. (a) Any employee whose rate of pay is fixed on a nont~ly basis shall not receive any compensation.for extra or 'overtime work unless such has been approved in ad/Vance b.Y t~he department head and the city manager. Section 16. Salary adjustments. (a) Salary adjustments to hi~ne~ steps ~athln a pay grade for persons classified under Section 3 shall becmme effective upon the first day of July of each year~. (b) Sata~y adjustments to hi~her steps within a pay grade for persons classified under Section 4 sha~- become effective on the first day Of July for each year, but for the purposes of this ordi- r~nce only, se~ice by such employees for a fractional part of a year coD~isting of six months or more shall be~treated as a ~ole year. Section 17.
