Sec. 10-8o Depositories for funds of the department of public <br /> utilities. <br /> <br /> Ail funds of the city received by or on' behalf of the <br />department of public utilities shall be deposited to the credit <br />of said department in such banks as may be designated by the <br />council from time to time. <br /> <br />Sec. 10-9. Withdrawal of funds of the department of public <br /> utilities. <br /> <br /> Funds placed in city depositories, pursuant to section <br />10-8, shall be withdrawn only as appropriated by the council and <br />upon checks signed by the director of public utilities and the <br />director of finance, after proper vouchers have been approved by <br />the director of finance, stating the particular appropriation to <br />which the same is chargeable, and the person to whom payable. <br />Payroll checks need only be signed by the director of finance, <br />which signature may be a facsimile. <br /> <br />Sec. 10-10. Daily deposit of funds by city treasurer. <br /> <br /> The city treasurer shall deposit in the bank daily all <br />~f.~nds~ecei~e~by.~h3nu.~a~dhe~a3~ ~tain fr~m the bank two <br />posit certificates, one of which shall be filed with ~he direct- <br />or of finance. <br /> <br />Sec. 10-12. Duty of officers and employees collecting money <br /> due city. <br /> <br /> It shall be th~ duty of every officer and employee of <br />the city, to whom shall De paid any mo~eys due ~he cit% to ~a-- <br />such moneys over to the city treasurer at such times as may be <br />directed by ~qe provisions of this Code or other ordinances of <br />the city or by the city manager. At the time of paying the same <br />over to the city treasurer, such officer or employee shall m~ke <br />a report to ~e city treasurer of such trans~ction and file a <br />copy of such report with ~he director of finance in the form <br />for that purpose provided. <br /> <br />Sec. 10-13. Recovery from officers failing to make proper <br /> settlement. <br /> <br /> If any officer required~ as provided in section t0~27, <br />to submit reports, with vouchers and receipts, shall neglect to <br />make an adjustment of his accounts when so required~ and to pay <br />over such moneys so received, it shall-be the duty of the direct- <br />or of finance to issue notice in writing, directed to such officer <br /> <br /> <br />
