AN ORDINANCE TO ~4END THE ZONING ORDINANCE OF <br />THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, 1961, BY ~4ENDING SECTION <br />5-7 THEREOF, PROVIDING MINIM~{ PLOT WIDTHS FOR <br />ROW HOUSES IN THE RESIDENTIAL R-75 DISTRICT. <br /> <br /> Be it ordained by the Council. of the City of Ports- <br />mouth, Virginia, that the Zoning Ordinance of the City of <br />Portsmouth, 1961, be amended by amending Section 5-7 thereof, <br />amended section to read as follows: <br /> <br />such <br /> <br />Section 5-7. <br /> <br />Residential <br />Residential <br />merits. <br /> <br />R-75, Residential R-75-S and Office <br />0R-75 District Dimensional Require- <br /> <br /> Within the Residential R-75, Residential R-75-S and <br />Office Residential OR-75 Districts as ~lown onthe Zoning Map, <br />all the following dimensional requirements shall be complied <br />with: <br /> <br /> (a) Minimum required plot area in the Residential <br />R-75-S and Office Residential 0R-75 Districts and for the first <br />dwelling unit in the 'Residential R-75 or Office Residential OR- <br />75 Districts other than for row houses 7,500 <br />square feet. <br /> <br /> (b) Minimum additional plot area per dwelling unit for <br />each unit in excess of one 2% the Residential R-75 or Office Resi- <br />dential 0R-75 Districts . 3,000 square feet. <br /> <br /> (c) ~inimum required plot area for row houses only in <br />the Residential R-75 District 2500 square feet; <br />except that as an alternate method of development, a subdivision <br />of row houses may be approved without a minimum plot size require- <br />ment, provided that the maximum number of plots per gross acre shall <br />not exceed 12 plotS per gross acre and all other dimensional re- <br />quirements set forth by this section which are applicable to row <br />houses are followed. "Gross acre" shall not include any public <br />street right of way properly dedicated and accepted for maintenance <br />by the City. <br /> <br /> (d) Minimum required plot width for the Residential <br />R-75-S District and for the first dwelling unit other than a row <br />house in the Residential R-75 or Office Residential 0R-75 Districts <br /> . . 50 feet. <br /> <br /> <br />
