(g} The provisions of the Building Code, relating to the <br />construction, repair, alteration, enlargement and mo~ing of <br />buildings or structures in fire districts shall not apply to <br />buildings or structures in the Historic District when the Fire <br />Chief certifies to the commission that in his opinio~ such build- <br />ing or structure and the character of construction thereof will <br />not materially increase the danger of fire, and the commission <br />is of tile opinion ~nat the construction, alteration, enlargement <br />or moving the building or structure into or within the district <br />will accomplish, encourage and pro~.ote the purposes and object- <br />ives set out in Section 9-1. <br /> <br /> (h) Except as otherwise provided in this section, nothing <br />herein contained shall affect the application of the provisions <br />of the Bullaln~ Code to buildings or structures in the Historic <br />Distri ct. <br /> <br />Section 9-12. <br /> <br />Historical or Architectural Value, etc.., <br />to be Considered Prior to Issuance of <br />Certificate of Appropriateness for De- <br />molition. <br /> <br /> Before a certificate of appropriateness is issued by the <br />commission, upon conferring with the applicant for the permit - <br />for t~e demolition of a building or structure in the Historic <br />District, the Coi~ission, in addition to other pertinent factors <br />· ~¢~ic~-may~be ~vol~ed i~ the executio~ of ~n~e purpose~ a~d ~ob- <br />jectives declared in Sedtion 9-1 shall consider the historical <br />or architectural value and significance of the building or <br />structure and its relationship to or congruity with the land, <br />place and area in the Historic District upon %zhich it is erect- <br />ed and with o~her buildings or structures therein. <br /> <br />Section 9-13. <br /> <br />Factors for xetuslng, Conditioning or <br />Modifying Certificate of Appropriate- <br />ness by Commission. <br /> <br /> Each certificate of appropriateness shall be issued or re- <br />fused or conditioned or moalflea b~ t~e cor.%*-/ssion only upon and <br />after consideration of the factors set out in Section 9-8 through <br />9-12. <br /> <br />Section 9-14..
