the requirements of this chapter. Sec. 9-16. Permit for electrical work - Required. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to dc any electrical work within the-city without first obtaining a permit therefor from the electrical inspector, except as follows: (a) Minor repair work, the replacement of lamps or fuses, and the connection of portable devices to suitable receptacles which have already been installed. (b) Certain installations peculiar to the business of utility, telephone, telegraph, radio or television receiving or transmitting companies. Sec. 9-17. Same - Application. Applications for a permit as required in section 9-16 shall be made in writing, signed by a person holding a Certificate of Compe- tency as a Master Electrician, on forms provided for that purpose to the electrical inspector and shall be filled out according to the forms furnished. Applications will be received during office hours and permits granted. No application will be acknowledged until the necessary fee has been paid. Sec. 9-21. Permit for electrical work - Fees Schedule.
