The Division of Plumbing Inspection shall be in the charge of the Plumbing inspector, who shall have such assistants as may, from time to time, be authorized by the City Council and ap- pointed by the City Manager. Wherever appearing in this code, the term plumbing official shall mean the plumbing inspector and his duly authorized assistants. 102.2 QUALIFICATIONS OF INSPECTOR AND ASSISTANTS The Pl~w~bing Inspector and Assistant Plumbing Inspectors shall have at least 10 years experience as engineer, master plumber or a ~ourne~man pl~lber, and must have received a Certificate of Proficiency from the Board for Examination of Plumbers° SECTION 103 - PO?mRS AND DUTIES OF PLUMBING INSPECTOR 103.2 STOP WORK ORDERS Upon notice from the Plumbing Inspector that work on a~y plumbing installation is being done contrary to the provisions of this code or in a dangerous or unsafe manner~ such work shall be i~ediately stopped. Such notice shall be in writing and shall be given to the owner of such property, or to his agent~ or to the person doing the work, and shall state ths conditions under which work may be resumed. Where any emergency exists, oral notice given by the Plumbing inspector shall be sufficient. ?~en deemed necessary by the Plumbing Inspector~ notice shall be given the Director of Public Utilities not to supply water to any premise where unsatisfactory work or a hazard to health and safety exists until all violations are corrected. SECTION 106 - FEES 106.1 GENERAL It shall be unlawful for any person to install any plumb- ing within the City without a permit.
