A~N ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTION 107.4 OF THE BUILDING CODE OF THE <br />CITY OF PORTSMOUTI{, 1970~ REVISING THE SCHEDULE OF PEP~W!IT FEES. <br /> <br /> Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 107.4 of the Building Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth~ 1970, be amended and reordained to read as follows: <br /> <br />107.4 SCHEDULE OF PERMIT FEES <br /> <br /> The fees for all permits required by this code shall be <br />.paid at the time of filing the application and in accordance <br />with the following schedule: <br /> <br />(a) Construction - general <br /> <br />(1) Residential~ Business and Schools <br /> <br />For 100 square feet up to and including 2,000 <br />square feet, the fee shall be $5.00 per hundred <br />square feet or fraction thereofB <br /> <br />(B) <br /> <br />For 2t000 square feet up to and including 5~000 <br />square feet~ the fee shall be $!00.00 for the <br />first 2,000 square feet plus $~.00 per hundred <br />square feet or fraction thereof. <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />For 5,000 square feet or more, the fee shall be <br />$220.00 for the first 5~000 square feet, plus <br />$3.00 per hundred square feet or fraction thereof. <br /> <br />(2) <br /> <br />Institutions <br /> (A) For !00 square feet up to and including t,000 <br /> square feet, the fee shall be $7.00 per hundred <br /> square feet or fraction thereof. <br /> <br />(B) <br /> <br />For 1,000 square feet up to and including 2,000 <br />square feet, the fee shall be $70.00 for the <br />first lt000 square feet plus $6.00 per hundred <br />square feet or fraction thereof. <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />For 2,000 square feet up to and including 5,000 <br />square feet, the fee sh~ll be $130.00 for the <br />first 2,000 square feet plus $5.00 per hundred <br />square feet or fraction thereof. <br /> <br /> <br />
