AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING FEES FOR ESCORT SERVICES RENDERED BY <br />THE POLICE OR FIRE DEPARTMENTS OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH. <br /> <br /> Be it ordained by the Council of the City of Ports- <br />mouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That the chief of police and the fire chief are <br />authorized to furnish official escorts for funerals, motorcades <br />and vehicles transporting dangerous substances. There is here- <br />by imposed a fee of S10.00 for each escort unit furnished for <br />the first hour and one-half or portion thereof, and a fee of <br />$5.00 for each escort unit furnished for each additional half <br />hour or portion thereof. Nothing contained herein shall be <br />construed as requiring such escort service to be furnished by <br />the city. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held May 9, 1972. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
