AN ORDINANCE TO CLOSE A PORTION OF A TEN FOOT ALLEY LOCATED BETWEEN EVERGREEN PLACE AND ROANOKE AVENUE. ~HEREAS, James C. Faust, Morton R. Williford~ Purvis H. Richardson, Regis Parker, Sr.~ Cora L. Goodman, Gracie L. Williams, Miriam Jackson, Thomas Bro%~ William Wright, Dennis Lawrence and Milton Copeland have made appli- cation to vacate and close the hereinafter described portion of a ten foot alley; and %~EREAS, by resolution of this Council adopted August 22, 1972, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.i-364 of the Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended to view the hereinafter described portion of the said alley and to report mn writing whether in their opinion~ any, and if any, what mnconvenmence would result from the discontinuing of the below described alley; and W~EREAS, the said viewers have reported in writing that in their opinion, no inconvenience would result from closing and discontinuing said alley; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council o~ the C~ty of Portsmouth, Vzrgznza, tna~ that portion of a ten foot alley descrmbed as follows be and the same ms hereby closed and vacated as a public alley; Ail that certain 10 foot strip of land situate in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, described as follows, to-wit: Ail that portion of a 10 foot alley lo- cated at the rear of the property line of the property located on the east side of Evergreen Placed and the property located on the west side of Roanoke Avenue, be- ginning at the north side of Watts Avenue and running north a distance of approxi- mately two hundred fifty (250) feet.
