Section 19-35.3. Sale, etc, of plastic bags; warning required. <br /> <br /> It shall be unlawful for any person to sell, offer for <br />sale, or deliver, or offer for delivery, or give away any plastic <br />bag or partial plastic bag intended to enclose freshly cleaned <br />clothing, the length of which totals twenty-five inches or more <br />and the material of which is less than one mil (1/1000 inch) in <br />thickness; unless such plastic bag bears the following warning <br />statement, or a warning statement which the Commissioner of <br />Health has approved as the equivalent thereof: <br /> <br />"WARNING: <br /> <br />TO avoid danger of suffocation, keep this plastic <br />bag away from babies and children. Do not use this <br />bag in cribs, beds, carriages or playpens." <br /> <br /> Such warning statement shall be imprinted in a prominent <br />place on the plastic bag or shall appear on a label securely att- <br />ached to the bag in a prominent place, and shall be printed in <br />legible type of at least thirty-six point type. <br /> <br />Section 19-36. Noise - Generally. <br /> <br /> The creation of any unreasonably loud, disturbing or <br />unnecessary noise in the city or noise of-such kind, intensity <br />or duration as to be detrimental to the life or health of any <br />individual or disturb the public peace or welfare of the city <br />shall be unlawful. <br /> <br />Section 19-37. Same - Enumeration of prohibited acts. <br /> <br /> The following acts, among others, are declared to be <br />loud, disturbing and unnecessary noises in violation of this chap- <br />ter, but this enumeration shall not be deemed to be exclusive: <br /> <br /> (a) The sounding of any horn or signal device on any <br />motor v~hicle for any unreasonable and ~nnecessa~y perio~ of <br />time or the creation by means of such signal devices of any un- <br />reasonably loud or harsh sound. <br /> <br /> (b) The playing of any television set, radio, phonograph <br />or any musical instrument in such a manner or with such volume as <br />to annoy or disturb the quiet, comfort or repose of persons in any <br />dwelling, hotel or other type of residence. <br /> <br /> (c) The keeping of any animal which by causing frequent <br />or long continued noise shall disturb the comfort and repose of <br />any per,on in the vicinity to such an extent as shall constitute <br />a nuisance. <br /> <br />(d) The use of any automobile, motorcycle or vehicle so <br /> <br />-5- <br /> <br /> <br />
