AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH~ VIRGINIA, 1961, BY REPEALING SECTIONS 37.i-9 and 37.1-46 THEREOF; BY ADDING THERETO FOUR NEW SECTIONS NUMBERED 37.1-20~ 37.1-32, 37.1-57 AND 37.1-69; AND BY ~ENDING SECTIONS 37.1-8, 37.1-11, 37.1-12, 37.1- 21, 37.1-31. 37.1-36, 37.1-37, 37.1-45, 37.1-48 ~D 37.1-49 THEREOF; SO AS TO ABOLISH PHECINCT NO. 8 AND THE VOTING PLACE THEREOF, COM- BiNE PRECINCT NO. $ WITH PRECINCT NO. 7 AND TO DESIGNATE THE VOTING PI~CE THEREOF, CHANGE THE BOUNDARIES OF' PRECINCTS NO. 10 AND NO. 11 AND THE VOTING PLACES THEREOF, TO CREATE A NEW PRECINCT NO. 19 OUT OF A PORTION OF EXISTING PRECINCT NO. 20 AND TO DESIGNATE THE VOTING PLACE THEREOF, TO CREATE A NEW PRECINCT NO. 31 OUT OF A PORTION OF EXISTING PRECINCT NO. 30 AND TO DESIGNATE THE VOTING PLACE THEREOF; AND TO CSL%NGE THE BOUNDARIES OF PRECINCTS NO. 35 A_ND NO. 36. BE iT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: 1. That the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, 1961~ be amended by repealing Sections 37.1-9 and 37.1-46 thereof. 2. That the Code of the City of Portsmouth~ Virginia, 1961, be amended by adding Sections 37.1-20~ 37.1-32, 37.1-57, and 37.1-69 thereto and by amending Sections 37.1-8, 37.1-11, 37.1-12, 37.1-21, 37.1-31, 37.1-36, 37.1-37, 37~1-45, 37.1-48 and 37.1-4~ thereof, such new and amended sections to read as follows: Section 37.1-8o Precinct No. 7. The boundaries of Precinct No. 7 shall be as follows: Beginning at a point where the center line of Hatton Street intersects the center line of London Boulevard and thence running north along the center line of Hatton Street to its intersection with the center line of Naval Avenue, thence easterly along the center l~ne of Naval Avenue and the southern boundary line of the United States Naval Hospital property to the eastern boundary line of the city in the Elizabeth River, thence northerly following the Elizabeth River and along the eastern boundary line of the city to the center line of Elm .Avenue projected northerly to its intersection with the center of the channel of Scotts Creek, thence westerly along the center of the channel of Scotts Creek to ~he branch thereof lying between the section known as West Park View and the section formerly belong- ing to Shea and sometimes called Shea Terrace, thence southerly along the center of the channel of such branch of Scotts Creek, its various courses, to ~he center line of London Boulevard at a point near the Municipal Stadium, and thence east along the center line of London Boulevard to the point of beginning.
