AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF MEANDER ROAD LOCATED BETWEEN <br />TURNPIKE ROAD ON THE SOUTH AND EAST AND HARBOR DRIVE AND COUNTY <br />STREET ON THE NORTH AND WEST (S-72-12). <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Lewis Chevrolet Corporation has made applica- <br />tion to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter described <br />portion of Meander Road; and <br /> <br /> ~EREAS, byresolution of this Council, adopted June <br />12, 1973, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-364 <br />of the Code of Virginia (1950) as amended, to view the here- <br />inafter portions of the said street and to report in writing <br />whether in their opinion, any, and if any, what inconvenience <br />w~uld result from discontinuing the below described street; <br />and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the said viewers have reported in writing <br />that in their opinion no inconvenience would result from closing <br />and discontinuing said street. <br /> <br /> NOW~ THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that that portion of Meander Road <br />~reinaf%er described, be closed and vacated as a public street. <br /> <br /> That portion of Meander Road which lies <br />between Turnpike Road, on the South and <br />East and Harbor Drive and County Street, <br />on the North and West. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Vir- <br />ginia, at a meeting held July 24, 1973. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
