That the Code of the City of Portsmouth, Vizginia, <br />i973; be amended by amending Sections 2-261, 2-262, 2-267 and <br />2-268 thereof, and by adding thereto two new sections numbered <br />2~269 and 2-270, such amended and new sections ~o read as follows: <br /> <br />Article XII. Citizens Advisory <br /> ~om~lttee <br /> <br />2-261. Established. <br /> <br /> · he~_ is hereby ' ~ <br /> estabtmsh~e an advisory co_mmittee <br /> ~ known as the "Citizens Advisory Committee ~ ' ' <br /> o~ the Czty of <br />Portsmouth.': <br /> <br />S~mon 2-262. Composition; appointment and term of members. <br /> <br /> The Citizens Advisory Comm_ittee shall consist of eleven <br />(t!) m~foers, all of whom shall be residents of the city. The <br />members of the committee shall be appointed by the Council for <br />terms of three [3) years; provided, however, that of those first <br />appointed, four (4) shall be appointed for one (1) year, four <br />(4) for nwo (2) years, and three (3) for three (3) years, for <br />terms commencing on June t, 1974. <br /> <br />Section 2-2~7. Date of meetings. <br /> <br /> The Citizens Advisory Committee shall hold regular <br />meetings at least once each month on such days and at such hours <br />as may be fixed by the Committee. Special meetings may be held <br />at such other times as may be fixed by the Co~mnittee or upon the <br />c~ti of the Chairman or, in his absence~ the Vice Chairman~ or upon <br /> <br /> <br />
