(1) Seven years, two days. <br /> <br />(2) Ten years, three days. <br /> <br />(3) Fifteen years, five days. <br /> <br />(4) Twenty years, seven days. <br /> <br /> (c) Annual leave may be taken at any time with <br />the written approval of the department head concerned. During <br />the period of December 16 through December 31, d~partment heads <br />shall not take annual leave except with the prior written ap- <br />proval of the city manager or his designee. <br /> <br /> (d) Annual leave taken shall only be charged <br />against the normal working days of the officer or employee <br />concerned. <br /> <br /> (e) Ail annual leave taken mus~ be'reported to <br />the finance department at the end of each pay period, and such <br />shall be deducted from the leave account of the person taking <br />such leave. <br /> <br /> (f) The amount of annual leave to which any of- <br />ficer or employee is entitled may be accumulated and carried <br />over from year to year; provided, however, that all accumulated <br />unused annual leave an excess of two (2) years' entitlement re- <br />maining in the leave account of the officer or employee as of <br />December 31 of each year shall be automatically cancelled at <br />the expiration of such year. <br /> <br /> (g) if any officer or employee shall leave the <br />service of the city after giving reasonable notice of his in- <br />tention so to do, he shall be entitled to terminal leave pay <br />equal to the amount of his acc~aulated unused annual leave~ <br />provided, however, if he shall be dismissed for personal de- <br />linquency or if he shall have resigned in the face of dismissal <br />or other disciplinary action, he shall forfeit his right to <br />terminal leave pay. <br /> <br /> (h) City council shall have the right to vary <br />the application of subsection (g) hereinabove in establishing <br />conditions of employment for officers and employees appointed <br />by council. This provision shall be applicable to all contracts <br />of employment heretofore or hereafter made. <br /> <br />3.
