AN ORDINANCE TO ~/4END THE CODE OF T~E CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIR- <br />GINIA~ 1973, BY AMENDING SECTION 40-78 OF SAID CODE PERTAINING <br />TO USES pERMITTED WITHIN T~IE RESIDENTIAL R-60 DISTRICT- <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Ports- <br />mouth, Vlrglnla. <br /> 1. That Section 40-78 of the code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, 1973, be amended and reordained to read as follows: <br /> Section 40-78. Residential R-60 District Uses. <br /> (a) within the Residential R-60 District the follow- <br /> ing uses are allowed: <br /> Accessory uses and structures incidental to any permit- <br /> ted residential use~ such as servants' quarters, garages~ <br /> greenhouses or workshops~ provided that none shall be <br /> rented or occupied for gain, that no accessory build- <br /> ing shall be inhabited by other than employees of the <br /> ownerr lessee or tenant of the premises, provided that <br /> no accessory Duilding to be .... = for <br /> shall be constructed upon a plot until the constru~tlo <br /> of the principal building has been commenced. <br /> Automobile parking operated in conjunction with permit- <br /> ted uses and in accordance with the requirements of <br /> section 40-48. <br /> Churches and places of worship, including parish houses <br /> and educational buildings. <br /> Crop or tree farming, greenhouses and truck gardening <br /> including the sale of products raised on the premises, <br /> provided that no retail stand or other commercial <br /> structu=e shall be located thereon and no greenhouse <br /> heating plant shall be operated within twenty (20) feet <br /> of any plot line. <br /> Dwelling, multi-family attached row, without co~on <br /> interior halls or entrances. <br /> <br />Dwellings, multi-family- <br /> <br />Dwellings, single-family- <br /> <br />Dwellings~ two-family. <br /> <br /> <br />
