in his position shall be paid an additional Five Hundred and <br />no/1OO ($500.00) Dollars per annum, such sum to be paid in <br />equal installments at the same time as the base salary is paid. <br /> <br />Section 12. .Salary adjustments and reclassifications. <br /> <br /> (a) On or after July 1, 1975, salary adjustments to <br /> higher steps within a pay grade for persons classified under <br />'Section 2 shall become effective on the first day of July for <br /> each year. For the purpose of this ordinance only, service <br /> by such employees for a fractional part of a year consisting <br /> of six months or more shall be treated as a whole year unless <br /> such six months requirement is waived by the City Manager. <br /> <br /> (b) The Department of Personnel shall perform a <br />continuing salary administration program to insure internal <br />equity among position classifications. The salary administra- <br />tion program shall include salary surveys, job audits and analysis <br />of turnover. <br /> <br /> (c) The Personnel Department shall approve all position <br />reclassifications, additions (New Positions) or deletions prior <br />to the action being taken. However, the City Manager may implement <br />changes of the above nature at his discretion in situations re- <br />quiring immediate corrective action. <br /> <br />Section 13. Allowances. <br /> <br /> The rate of pay set forth in this schedule shall be <br />deemed to include the full compensation of the employee, and the <br />value of any allowances made to the employee by the City shall <br />be considered as a part of his compensation. <br /> <br />Section 14. Complements of Fire Department and Police <br /> pepartment. <br /> <br /> (a) The authorized complement of the Fire Department <br />shall be one Chief, one Deputy Chief, eight Battalion Chiefs, <br />thirty-one Captains, thirty-one Lieutenants, and one hundred <br />forty-two Firefighters. <br /> <br /> (b) The authorized complement of the Police Department <br />shall be one Chief, one Assistant Chief, t~ Inspectors, seven <br />Captains,. twelve Lieutenants, twenty-eight Sergeants, and one <br />hundred sixty-two Patrolmen. <br /> <br /> <br />
