AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CiTY OF PORTS~OUTH, 1973, <br />BY ~%~END!NG SECTION 6-8 (SUBSECTION 118.41) AND ADDING A NEW <br />SECTION PERTAINING TO FEES FOB MOVING OF BUILDINGS. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Ports- <br />mouth, Virginia, that Section 6-8 (Subsection 118.41) be amended <br />by adding a new subparagraph pertaining to fees for moving of <br />buildings. <br /> <br />Section 6-8° Section 118.O of Business Building Code Amended. <br /> (Section 118.41. Fees for Moving of Buildings. <br /> <br /> (7) A bond shall be provided by the moving con- <br /> tractor in the penal su/~ of Fifty Thousand and OO/100 ($50,000.) <br /> Dollars indicating that the City of Portsmouth shall be held <br /> harmless and indemnified against any and all claims, actions <br /> or causes of actions which may accrue agaznst the City of Ports- <br />J mouth as a result of the moving of such building. Said bond <br /> shall also pay any and all damages to sidewalks, curbs, streets <br /> and other public property caused by the moving of such building. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, at a meeting held March 23, 1976. <br /> <br />Teste: <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
