those allowed in C-1 as prescribed in and for that zoning dis- <br />trict. 2) The Commission of Architectural Review may issue <br />Certificate of Appropriateness for alterations proposed in any <br />such subdistrict established on Afton Parkway in Cradock (Febru- <br />ary 10, 1975) and may alter required off-street parking and <br />loading requirements. <br /> <br /> (D) The following regulations shall apply through- <br />out the Historic District. <br /> <br /> (1) Ail private areas not covered with building <br />or surface treatment shall be landscaoed with planting, grass, <br />pedestrian walks or similar features, in character with the <br />aesthetic objectives for the area and shall be maintained in <br />reasonable condition. <br /> <br /> (2) Landscaping improvements in public areas <br />shall have a landscape plan prepared bye qualified landscape <br />architect. Such plan shall be in character with the aesthetic <br />objectives for the area and shall respect the quality and authenL <br />ticity of materials to be expected mn a historic area. <br /> <br /> (4) The following regulations shall apply to <br />signs within the Historic District. <br /> <br /> (a) Any new sign within the historia area <br />required prior approval by the Commission of Architectural Re- <br />view. Changes to existing signs, ordered by the commission and <br />based on these regulations shall be carried out within six (6) <br />months of receipt of proper written notice. Such changes shall <br />be at the expense, risk and responsibility of the~owner. Should <br />the owner fail to comply with such notice, the Commission may <br />order this work done at the expense, risk and responsibility of <br />the owner without prejudice. <br /> <br /> lb) Sighs must be kept in good ~o~dition or <br />they may be removed at t~e r~sk, expense and responsibility of <br />the owner, if after receipt of written notice from the Building <br />Inspector the owner has not initiated the request work within <br />six (6) months. <br /> <br /> (5) Sanitary and waste refuse storage and col- <br />lection facilities shall be provided on the lot or parcel and <br />shall be screened from public view. Such storage and collection <br />facilities shall be of a typ_e that a dog, cat, rodent and vermin- <br />proof. <br /> <br /> <br />
