(3) <br /> <br />(4) <br /> <br />(5) <br /> <br />(iii) <br /> <br />The areas proposed for the storage--of over-burden <br />and other soil during the process of excavating. <br /> <br />(iv) <br /> <br />The proposed date on which excavation shall commence, <br />the proposed date on which the excavation shall be <br />completed, and the proposed date that 11 required <br />restoration measures are to be completed. <br /> <br />(v) The location of all haul roads leading to public <br /> streets and highways within the area. <br /> <br />(vi) A statement listing the public streets and high- <br /> ways to be used as haul routes. <br /> <br />(vii) Staged and final countours. <br /> <br />(viii) Restoration plan (See paragraph 10). <br /> <br />Review and Approval of Excavation Use Permits: No such ex- <br />cavating use permit shall be approved unless the proposed <br />project and accompanying plans shall have first been refer- <br />red to: <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />The Director of Planning or his authorized agent who <br />shall determine if the project is in conformity with <br />the requirements set forth in this chapter. <br /> <br />The Department of Engineering which shall determine if <br />the engineering features of this project are in conformity <br />with sound principles of engineering and if the overall <br />plan is in compliance with erosion and sediment control <br />ordinance. <br /> <br />The Department of Public Works which shall review the <br />methods of transport of any excavated material over <br />public streets to insure that such streets will support <br />loads. <br /> <br />Action by Planning Commission: The Planning Commission shall <br />give careful study to the plans submitted by the applicant <br />taking into consideration the location of the proposed ex- <br />cavation, the requirements of the community and the best use <br />of the land. Following a review of the plans submitted by <br />the applicant and the findings of the Department of Engineer- <br />ing and discussion with the applicant of his plans, the Plan- <br />ning Commission shall make its recommendation to City Council <br />for approval, disapproval, or amendment of the application. <br /> <br />Filing Surety Bond Prior to Issuance: After the approval of <br />City Council of a use permit for excavation, the applicant <br />shall cause to be filed with the City Attorney a surety bond. <br />Such bond shall he, for the faithful performance of the re- <br />quirements of this chapter, in the amount of not less than <br />one thousand dollars per acre or part thereof such acre to be <br /> <br />-2- <br /> <br /> <br />
