A~ ORDINANCE TO REPEAL SECTION 24-116 CODE OF THE CITY OF <br />PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA AND TO AMEND SECTIONS 24-115, 24-117 <br />AND 24-120 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, <br />PERTAINING TO PORTSMOUTH STADIUM. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 24-116 of the Code of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia ts repealed. <br /> <br /> 2. That Sections 24-115, 24-117 and 24-120, Code <br />of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia be amended and reordained <br />to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 24-115. <br /> <br />Charges for Interscholastic Football <br />Games. <br /> <br /> For the use of the stadium for football games <br />of interscholastic standing by schools, not including <br />colleges and universities, a charge of Fifty {$50.00) per <br />day shall be made. <br /> <br />Section 24-117. Concessions. <br /> <br /> Except for such periods and events when concession <br />rights are granted by lease pursuant to Section 24-114, all <br />concession rights shall be under the supervision of the <br />organization leasing the stadium, which organization shall <br />pay a ten (10%) gross receipts tax from the sale of such <br />concession. <br /> <br />Section 24-120. Charges for other engagements. <br /> <br /> For the use of the stadium, for all engagements, <br />other than those provided in the preceding sections of this <br />Article, shall be negotiated and a lease entered into between <br />the organization and the City. <br /> <br /> Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia~ at a meeting held August 24, 1976. <br /> <br />City Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
