Lieutenants, twenty-eight Sergeants, and one hundred sixty two Police Officers. SECTION 15. Salaries For Unclassified Positions. (a) ~e annual salaries of the following unclassified positions shall be the amounts herein stated: (a) City Manager $40,420 (b) Clark of Circuit Court $28,059 (c) City Assessor $33,863 (d) City Attorney $33,863 (e) City Clark $11,288 (b) The office of the City Attorney shall receive an additional Nine Thousand Five Hundred Sixty-~vo ($9,562.00 Dollars as armual cc~pensation frcrd the Portsmouth School Board for professional services rendered. The City Attorney shall receive from this amount Three Thousand ar~ no/100 $3,000.00 Dollars annual compensation. (c) Part-time enptoyees, whose positions are not classified, shall receive cc~pensation as prescribed by the Department Head and Director of Personnel. Section 16. Uniform Allowances. Any en~pleyee who is required by a department head to wear a uniform in the regular performance of official duties shall be furnished three (3) changes of such ur~forms each week at no cost to the e~ployee. Any employee who desires any additional changes shall assu~e the additional cost thareof and the City shall withhold from the emplqyee's salary an amount sufficient to offset the cost thereof. This section shall not be applicable to employees of the Polioe and Fire Department. SECTION 17. Adjustments of Retirement Allowance. The adjustn~nts of retirement allowances as prescribed in Section 31~68 and 31-155 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth shall be increased five (5%) percent. · SECTION 18. Repeal of Conflicting Ordinances. Ordinance No. 1976-195 is hereby repealed, effective June 30, 1977. SECTION 19. Effective Date of Ordinance. (a) This ordinance shall take effect July 1, 1977.
