AN ORD~ TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOIYl~, VIRGINIA, <br />1973, AS /~M~NDED, BY AMENDING SECTION 11-90 THEREOF; PEREANIqING TO THE <br />MUNIC]I~AL FINANCE ~SSION. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsn~uth, Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That the Code of the City of Porhsmouf_h, Virginia, 1973, as <br />amended, be amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 11-90. Composition. <br /> <br /> The Portsmouth Mmnicipal Finance Commission shall consist of <br />eleven (11) members. The members of the Cc~misslon shall be residents <br />of the City. The City Manager and Director of Finance of the City shall <br />be nonvoting ex officio members of the Cc~nission, and the remaining <br />nine (9) n~3nbers shall be appointed by the City Council. Of the nine (9) <br />so appointed, at least three (3) shall be members of the banking profession, <br />three (3) shall be businessme~n employed in the City and the remaining <br />members shall be chosen from the citizer~-y at lsrge. <br /> <br />2.
