AN ORDINAA1/E CLOSING THE FO~ STREETS: PARCEL I, A PORTION C~ <br />SCOTT STRaiT, PAR~ II, A PORTION OF GRIFFIN STREET, PARCEL III, A <br />PORTION OF RACE STREET AND PARCEL IV, A PORTIfkN OF WYTHE STREET. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Portsmouth Redevelopment and Housing Authority has made <br />application to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter described <br />portions of certain streets; and <br /> <br /> ~4ERFAS, by Resolution of this Council adopted ~y 31, 1977, viewers <br />were appointed pursuant to Section 15.1-1-364, Code of Virginia, 1950, <br />as amended, to vle~ the hereinafter described portion of said streets <br />and to report in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, what <br />inconvenience would result frc~ discontinuing the below described streets; <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the said viewers have reported in writing that in their <br />opinion no inconvenience would result frc~a the closing end discontinuing <br />of said streets. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Ports- <br />mouth, Virginia, that those portions of said streets hereinafter de- <br />scribed, be closed and vacated as public streets: <br /> <br />SCOITSTRk~£ <br /> <br /> All that certain piece or parcel of land, lying and <br />being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, and comprising <br />that portion of Scott Street between Washingten Street and <br />Fifth Street. (S-77-5). <br /> <br /> All that certain piece or parcel of land, lying and <br />beir~ in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, and comprising <br />that portion of Griffin Street between Washington Street <br />end Fifth Street. (S-77-6). <br /> <br />PACE STREET <br /> <br /> All that certain piece or parcel of land, lyir~ and <br />being in the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, and c~mprising <br />that portion of Race Street between Washington Street and <br />Fifth Street.
