(a) To the owner or the operator of a motor v~hicle who resides <br />within the area %/qere parking is so restricted, to be lJamited to that <br />particular area in ~iaich parking is so restricted ~nd to be limited to <br />one (1) permit for each vehicle owned or used by that person ar~ described <br />in the application or amend~n_t to it suhmifited by that person. <br /> <br /> (b) To persons who are visitors of any residence of any particular <br />area in which parking is so restricted, to be limited to that particular <br />area in which perking is so restricted, to be valid for a stated period <br />but no Fore than 30 days. <br /> <br /> (c) On t/ne s~plication of any resident of t/ce districh~ the <br />I~kmnager or his designee, may issue pezmits to be valid for (~nly t day <br />a=nd for no n~re th~.n fo~ (4) hours on that day u~cn %~he shc~ing by <br />reside=n-a ~aa% dur~_ng ~ahe hours for which ~he perm. its sre to be issued, <br />his residence will be used ~_ such a way consisnenn with its residential <br />character smd otb_er provisions of lew that visitors to his residence <br />would not be able to perk without violating the law. If the City ~.~mnager <br />or his designes shall fLnd the foregoing facts and further find that the <br />issuance of the pe~mits will not unduly L~pair traffic safety during the <br />time of the validity, he shall issue such permits and may limit the <br />streets or portions of streets on which they shall be valid. <br /> <br /> 3. Any such person shall sh~ to the City ~nager or bis designee, <br />satisfacto~ evid~n_oe that he fulfills all the conditions for such a <br />p=~mit. ~enever ~he conditions no longer exist~ the person holding <br />such a permit issued under Paragraph 2 (a) above, shall surrender sam~ to <br />the City If~nnager or his designee. It shall be %mlawf-ul for any person <br />to represent that he ms entitled to such permit v~ea/ he is not so en- <br />titled, to fail to surrender a permit to which he is no lqnger entitled, <br />or to park a vehicle displayLng such a permit at sky tim~ when the <br />holder of such a ~D=~arit is not entitled to hold it. No permit issu~ <br />hereunder shall be valid for more than one (!) year, but may be <br />upon expiration, provided the conditions for issuance exist. <br /> <br /> 4. The sigp~ placed in such areas shall be of suc~h character as to <br />inform readily ~ny ordinarily observant person of the exis ~tence of the <br />rules and req~alations inclosing the foregoing restrictions. It shall be <br />unlawful for any person to violate such rules ~nd regulations. <br /> <br /> 5. ~Tnerever metered per~g is in effect in ~ny pert/on of a <br />district that becomes subject to the restrictions of this Section, the <br />psrking spaces controlled by ~eters may be excepted from ~ provisions <br />of this Section so long as the control by r~eters continues. <br /> <br /> <br />
