AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, <br />VtRGINIAf 1973, BY AMENDING SECTION 2-18 THEREOFf PERTAINING <br />TO MANDATORY RETIREMENT OF THOSE OFFICERS ~ND EMPLOYEES NOT <br />SUBJECT TO THE RETIREMENT SYSTEM. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, that: <br /> <br /> t. Section 2-18 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, be ~mended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 2-18. Mandatory Retirement. <br /> <br /> Any officer or employee who attains the age of seventy <br />(70) years of age shall be retired on the first day of the <br />month following the attainment of such age. <br /> <br /> 2.
