Section 38-67.20. Certification procedures. <br /> <br /> (a) Examination of backflow prevention device testers <br />shall be given at such times as may be fixed by %he director, <br />notice%of ~hich shall be ~iven at least three days.in advance <br />to those who have filed applications for certification. <br /> <br /> (b) In case of the failure of an applicant %o pass such <br />examination, he shall be eligible for reexamination at the next <br />~scheduled examination. <br /> <br /> (c) The holder of a certificate of backflow prevention <br />device tester as herein provided shall annually renew his certi- <br />ficate. Such renewal certificate shall be granted upon written <br />application, showing his purposes and conditions remain unchanged, <br />unless it is made to appear by affidavit filed with the director <br />charging that the applicant <br />such renewal certificate, in which event the renewal certificate <br />· shall not be granted until the applicant shall have undergone <br />.the examination requ£red by Section 50-66 of the ar~icle. <br /> <br /> All certificates shall be valid for one year from the date <br />of issuance; provided, that any certificate may be revoked <br />the". ~rec~or at any time upon sufficient written sworn cha~ges <br />filed with the 'director showing the holder of the certificate to <br />be 'tke~incompetent' or guilty of a wilfull breach~of %tie rules, <br />regulations ~or requirements of the director, or the provisions <br />of this article or other causes sufficien~ for the re~ocation of <br />his certificate; of which charges and hearing the holder of such <br />certi~±cate shall ha-ye 'written .notice and shall have the right <br />to be heard. <br /> <br /> If any such certificate is not renewed for a period of six <br />months 'after the expiration date, the holder to whom such certi- <br />ficate wss--issued sh~ll not be permitted to again engage in such <br />o · <br /> ccupat~on,~ nor shall a certificate be issued to him unless and <br />until he sh~all have' made application and been examined in accord- <br />ance ~ith ~the procedure described in this section. <br /> <br />Section 38-67.21o~ Violations-' generally. <br /> <br /> The 'director shall notify the owner or authorized ~gent of <br />the' owner of the building or premises in which there <br />violation'-of this artiele~ apprising him of the~ facts of such <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br /> <br />
