SECTION t4. Complements of. Fire Department.. . and. . Palice~. Department· . <br /> <br />(a) <br /> <br />The authorized complement of the Fire Department shall be <br />one Chief, one Assistant Chief, eight Battalion Chiefs, <br />thirty-six Captains~ thirty-five Lieutenants, and one <br />hundred thirty-four Firefighters. <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />The authorized complement of the Police Department shall be <br />one Chief, two Assistant Chiefs, one Field Operations <br />Commander, eight Captains, eleven Lieutenants, twenty-eight <br />Sergeants and one hundred sixty-two Police Officers. <br /> <br />SECTION 15. Salaries for Unclassified Positions <br /> <br />(a) The annual salary rates of the following unclassified positions <br /> shall be the amounts herein stated: <br /> <br />(a) City Manager $44,538 $46,765 <br />(b) Clerk of Circuit Court 30,917 32,463 <br />(c) City Assessor 25,625 26,906 <br />(d) City Attorney 41,583 43,449 <br />(e) City Clerk 12,951 13,598 <br /> <br />(b) <br /> <br />The office of the City Attorney shall receive an additional <br />twelve thousand eight hundred ten dollars ($12,810) as annual <br />compensation from the Portsmouth School Board for professional <br />services rendered. The CiTy Attorney shall receive from this <br />amount, four thousand two hundred seventy dollars ($4,270) <br />annual compensation, which is included in his total salary <br />quoted in Section 15(a). <br /> <br />(c) <br /> <br />Part-time employees, whose positions are not classified shall <br />receive compensation as prescribed by the Department Head and <br />Director of Personnel <br /> <br />SECTION 16. Uniform Allowances <br /> <br />Any employee who is required to wear a uniform in the regular <br />performance of official duties shall be furnished three (3) <br />changes of such uniforms each week at no cost to the en~loyee. <br />Any employee who desires any additional changes shall assume <br />the additional cosz thereof and the City shall withhold from the <br />employee's salary an amounz sufficient to offset the cost thereof. <br />This section shall not be applicable to employees of the Police <br />and Fir~ Departmenzs. <br /> <br />SECTION 17. Adjustments of Retirement Allowance <br /> <br />The adjustments of rezirement allowances as prescribed in Section <br />31-68 and 31-155 of the Code of the City of Portsmouth shall be <br />increased two and one-half percent (2~m). <br /> <br /> <br />
