1979-44 AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, VIRGINIA, BY AMENDING ZONING ORDINANCE Z-79-8(4). BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: 1. That that portion of the Zoning Map attached to and made a part of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Portsmouthr Virginia, which now zones as Industrial M-1 and M-2 and Residential R-75, the property described in the petition for Zoning Amendment No. Z-79-8, is hereby amended and changed so as to show said property zoned as Residential R-60, and that said property is hereby zoned as R-60. The property affected by this ordinance is described as follows: Beginning at the centerline of Cutherell Street, approximately 100 feet south from the south right of way line of High Street; thence southeasterly 100 feet; thence northeast 180 feet; thence east 60 feet; thence southeast 80 feet; thence southwest 200 feet to the center- line of Cutherell Street; thence southeasterly along said centerline to the centerline of the Norfolk and Portsmouth Belt Line Railroad pro- perty; thence southerly along said property approximately 950 feet~ thence southwest to the centerline of Romanesque Street; thence northwesterly along said centerline to the centerline of Van Dyke Street; thence north- easterly along said centerline 150 feet; thence northwesterly 400 feet; thence west 220 feet: thence north approximately 400 feet; thence east approximately 320 feet to the center- line of Cutherell Street. 2. That this ordinance shall be in effect from and after 30 days from the date of its adoption. Adopted by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, at a meeting held May 8, 1979.
