AN ORDINANCE CLOSING THE FOLLOWING: A PORTION OF FOURTH <br />STREET (S-77-18)w <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Portsmouth Redevelopment And Housing <br />Authority has made application to vacate, close and dis~ <br />continue the hereinafter-described portion of a certain <br />Street~ and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by a Resolution of this Council adopted <br />July 26, 1977, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section <br />15.1-364, Code of Virginia, 1950~ asamenaed,~ to view the <br />hereinafter-described portion of sai~ Street, and to report <br />in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, what <br />inconvenience would result from discontinuing the below- <br />described street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the said viewers have reported in writing <br /> that in their opinion no inconvenience would result from <br /> the closing and discontinuing of said Street. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth,V'lrgln~a,' ' that tha~ portion of said <br />Street hereinafter-described be closed and vacated as a <br />public Street. <br /> <br />FOURTH STREET <br /> <br /> Ail that certain piece or parcel of <br />land, lying and being in the City of Ports- <br />mouth, Virginia, and comprising that por- <br />tion of Fourth Street as shown on a plat <br />entitled. "Pi~ Showing Closures of Portions <br />of Fourth and Wythe Streets, Portsmouth, <br /> lrglnla, for Southside II Project CD 77", <br />dated June 2, 1977, prepared by Hassell & <br />Folkes~ Surveyors & Engineers, Portsmouth, <br />Virginia, copy of said plat is attached <br />hereto.
