1979-39 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE CLOSING THE FOLLOWING: <br />STREET (S-77-17). <br /> <br />A PORTION OF ~THE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Portsmouth Redevelopment And Housing <br />Authority has made application to vacate, close and dis- <br />continue the hereinafter-described portion of a certain <br />street~ and <br /> <br /> ~EREAS~ by a Resolution of this Council adopted <br />July 26, 1977, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section <br />15.1-364, Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the <br />hereinafter-described portion of said street, and to report <br />in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, what <br />inconvenience would result from discontinuing the below- <br />described street~ and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ the said viewers have reported in writing <br />in their opinion no inconvenience would result from the <br />closing and discontinuing of said street~ <br /> <br />that <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the <br />City of Portsmouth, Virginias that that portion of said street <br />hereinafter-described be closed and vacated as a public street. <br /> <br />WYTHE STREET <br /> <br /> All that certain piece or parcel of <br />land, lying and being in the City of Ports- <br />mouth, Virginia, and comprising that portion <br />of Wythe Street as shown on a plat entitled~ <br />"Plat Showing Closures of Portions of Fourth <br />and Wythe Streets, Portsmouth, Virginia, For <br />Southside II Project CD 77"~ dated June 2, <br />1977, prepared by Hassell & Folkes, Surveyors <br />& Engineers, Portsmouth, Virginia, a copy of <br />said plat is attached hereto.
