AN ORDINANCE CLOSING THE FOLLOWING STREETS: GAR~ETT STREET, <br />G!LLIS ROAD, JAMESON STREET~ KEA¥ STREET, OLD STREET, P~DGATE <br />DRIVE .AND SHILOH PLACE. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Chesapeake, Virginia, has made <br />application to vacate~ close and discontinue the hereinafter- <br />described portions of certain streets; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, by Resolution adopted by this Council on September <br />18, 1979, viewers were appointed pursuant bo Section 15.1-364, <br />Code of Virginia, 1950, as amended, to view the hereinafter- <br />described portions of said streets, and to report in writing <br />whether in their opinion any, and if any, what inconvience <br />would result fro~ its discontinuing the said streets; an~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the said viewers have reported in <br />in their opinion, no inconvenience would result <br />closing and discontinuing of the said streets. <br /> <br />~riting that <br />from the <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City <br />of Portsmouth, Virginia, that those portions of the said streets <br />hereinafter-described be closed and vacated as public streets. <br /> <br />PARCEL I - GARRETT STREET <br /> <br /> Ail that certain portion of Garrett Street <br />extending from its intersection with the north- <br />western right-of-way of George Washington High- <br />way to its terminus at the intersection ~ith <br />Redgate Drive. <br /> <br />PARCEL II GILLIS ROAD <br /> <br /> Ail that certain portion of Gillis Road <br />extending from its intersection with the <br />northwestern right-of-way of George Washing- <br />ton Highway to its terminus at the inter- <br />section with Jameson Street. <br /> <br />PARCEL III JAMESON STREET <br /> <br /> Ail that portion of Jameson Street in <br />its entirety. <br /> <br />PARCEL IV - KEAY STREET <br /> <br /> Ali that certain portion of Keay Street <br />in its entirety. <br /> <br /> <br />
