AN ORDINANCE CLOSING A PORTION OF LOUISA AVENUE. WHEREAS, the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, has made application to vacate, close and discontinue the hereinafter- described portion of Louisa Avenue; and WHEREAS, by Resolution of this Council adopted September 23, 1980, viewers were appointed pursuant to Section 15.I-364, Code of Virqinia. 1950, as a/Rended, to view the hereinafter- described p6rtion of Louisa Avenue and to report in writing whether in their opinion any, and if any, what inconvenience would result from discontinuing sa~d street; and WHEREAS, the said viewers have reported in writing that in their opinion no inconvenience would result from the closing and discontinuing of said street. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia, that the hereinafter-described portion of Louisa Avenue be closed and vacated as a public street. LOUIS~ AVENUE All that portion of Louisa Avenue beginning at the southeast corner of the intersection of Louisa Avenue and Win- chester Drive;-thence South O° 40' 00" West, a distance of 134.13 feet to a point on the northwest right-of-way of Airline Boulevard; thence North 86° 20~ O0" West, a distance of 60 feet to a point; thence North 03° 40' 00" East, a distance of 134.13 feet to a point on the southern right-of-way line of Winchester Drive; thence along the southern right-of-way-line of Winchester Drive South 86° 20' 00" East, a distance of 60 feet to the point of beginning as shown on the attached plat entitled: "Property Of The City Of Portsmouth For Winchester Drive Fire Station", dated February 13, 1980.
