ZONING AMENDMENT ORDINANCE Z-81-9 BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, Virginia: 1. That that portion of the Zoning Map attached to and made a part. of the Zoning Ordinance of the City of Ports- mouth, Virginia, 1973, which now zones as Residential R-60-A, the property described in Petition for Zoning ~endment No. Z-81-9, is hereby amended and ~changes so as to show said pro- perty zoned as Waterfront W-t-K Conditional, and that said property is hereby zoned as Waterfront W-t-K Conditional. 2. The property affected by this Ordinance is described as follows: Beginning on.the south side of C~awford Parkway 50', more or less, east from its intersection with Court Street; thence south 72.30'; thence east 7.86'; thence south 396.65'; thence east 57.73'; thence north 50.54'; thence east 66.50'; thence north 59.38'; thence east 114.90'; thence north 40.60~; thence west 45'; thence north 297.67' to the south right-of- way of Crawford Parkway; thence west along said right-of-way 199.45' to the point of origin. 3. Zoning Ordinance ~nuendment Z-81-9 is conditioned upon the following: (a~ The use of the property and its improvements shall be limited to the parking of vehicles owned by employees of the downtown Holiday Znn Motel, Crawford Parkway, Portsmouth, Virginia; the parking of construction vehicles and equipment and materials related to the present expansion of the said motel; and valet parking o~ vehicles of visitors and over- night guests at said motel. ~b) The use of the property for the aforesaid purpose shall commence on the 'date of the passage of an emergency ordinance by City Council for this purpose at the August 25, 1981 meeting of City Council and continue until December i, 1981, unless said date is extended by said City Council. (c) The property shall be landscaped and graded in a manner prescribed by the appropriate City officials as dictated and agreed upon between the City and the owner. Such plans for preparation of the lot for the purposes desired shall be subject to the approval of the City Planning Staff.
