AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, <br />VIRGINIA., 1973, BY AMENDING SECTION 7-30 PERTAINING TO <br />SCHEDULE OF FEES AND CHARGES IN CEMETERIES. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 7-30 of the Code of the City of <br />Ports~outh, Virginia, be amended and reordained to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 7-30. Schedule of prices and charges for work <br /> perfor~ued; payment. <br /> <br /> (a) The following schedule of prices is hereby established <br />for work performed in the several cemeteries in the City: <br /> <br /> (1) For opening graves four (4) feet and under <br />in length .............................................. $ 75.00 <br /> <br /> (2) For opening graves four (4) feet and under <br />in length on Saturdays~ Sundays and holidays ........... i00.00 <br /> <br />in length <br /> <br />(3) Fo~ op~ning graves over four (4) feet <br /> <br />175.OO <br /> <br /> (4) For opening graves over four (4) feet <br />length on Saturdays and holidays .......... ~ ............ 225.00 <br /> <br />in length <br /> <br />(5) For opening graves over four (4) feet <br />on S%lndays ................................... <br /> <br />350.00 <br /> <br /> (6) For disinterring and reinterring bodies, the <br />charge will be double that which is quoted above. <br /> <br /> (7) <br />p.m. weekdays, <br />is imposed. <br /> <br />For opening graves for burials after 4:00 <br />an additional charge of fifty dollars ($50.00) <br /> <br /> (b) The above fees and charges shall be paid before the <br />work is performed and a receipt shall be taken therefor. <br /> <br />2.
