AN ORDINA~NCE TO AMEND THeE'CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, <br />VIRGINIA, 1973, BY AMENDING SECTION 35-6 OF C~APTER 35 <br />PERTAIN~G TO BAD CHECK FEES. <br /> <br /> BE iT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />virginia: <br /> <br /> t. That Section 35-6 of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia,~!973, be amended and reordained to <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 35-6. Bad checks; fee. <br /> <br /> Any person uttering, publishing, or passing any check <br />or draft for the payment of taxes or any other sums due <br />which is subsequently returned because of insufficient funds, <br />or because there is no account, or because the account has <br />been closed, shall pay in addition to the sum due, a fee <br />of twenty dollars <br /> <br /> 2.
