AN ORDINANCE TO AMEND THE CODE OF THE CITY OF PORTSMOUTH, <br />VIRGINIA, 1973, AS AMENDED, BY A~ENDING SECTION 4-37 PERTAINING <br />TO LICENSE TAX FOR DOGS. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED by the Council of the City of Portsmouth, <br />Virginia: <br /> <br /> 1. That Section 4~37 of the Code of the City of <br />Portsmouth, Virginia, 1973, be amended and re0rdained to <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />Section 4-37. Amount of Tax. <br /> <br /> The following license tax shall be the only license <br />tax on dogs in the City: <br /> <br />(a) Ail dogs, male, female or unsexed ...... $ 5.00 <br />(b) n 1 twenty dog <br /> Ke ne for s ................. 30.00 <br />(c) Kennel for fifty dogs ................. 50.00 <br /> <br /> No license tax shall be levied on any dog that is trained <br />and serves as a guide dog for a blind person or that is trained <br />and serves as a hearing dog for a deaf or hearing impaired <br />person. <br /> <br />2.
