(b) Charges for volumes in excess of the above schedule shall be determined by the director based on an extension of the above rates. (c) The charges imposed under this section may be billed with the statement rendered for water and sewer charges or as otherwise provided for in this Chapter. Section 14-45. Billing Procedure. (a) The minimum service charges under ~!4-40 may be billed on a monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly basis. Where the service under ~14-40 exceeds the minimunu, additional bills will be rend- ered at the end of each ~on%h for the excess service. (b) The minimuan service charges under ~14-41 shall be billed monthly in advance. Where such a service exceeds the minim~, additional bills will be rendered at the end of each month for the excess service. (c) The director shall render bills for service charges under sections 14-5 and 14-42 monthly. Section 14-46. payment of Bills; Delinquent Charges; Dis- continuance of Service; Notices. (a) Ail charges imposed in this division billed with the statement rendered for water and sewer charges are due and payable as provided for in S38-~2. (b) All other bills rendered under this division are due and payable at the office of the City Treasurer upon pre- sentation and shall be considered delinquent if not paid within fifteen (15) days of the date issued, if any bill is not paid within such fifteen fl5) day period, an additional charge of one percent (1%) per billing period on the unpaid charges shall be added thereto and collected therewith to cover costs of collection. (-c) The director shall discontinue collecting refuse from a delinquent operator, owner or tenant after giving fifteen (15) days written notice thereof. A copy of the n~tice shall be delivered to the City Attorney, the Sea!th Department, the Delinquent Tax Collector and the Director of Public Utilities. The Delinquent Tax Collector shall include the delinquent charges with other taxes or fees to be collected fro~ the operator, owner or tenant, and the Director of Public Utilities may, in addition, discontinue water and sewer service to the delinquent opera%or, owner or tenant. 2. That the rates prescribed herein will be reflected in bills rendered after July 1, 1983, and this ordinance shall take effect as of that date.
